I return to it often. As much as I love Cora/Hawkeye (and their bittersweet happy ending), I’m a sucker for Uncas/Alice’s implied romance. I heard there are never before released additional scenes that fleshed out their interaction. Perhaps someday we’ll see them. Great RM choice!

So much of this movie broke my heart. Alice’s tragic death, Chingachgook’s cry when he saw Uncas die, and of course, the love Hawkeye and Cora had for their siblings.
