Just the idea that the ending is “darling and perfect”. I didn’t really regard it that way at all, as I found it very predictable that the protagonist would end up with who he did, rather than the female who first catches his eye. Worse, I wasn’t especially rooting for the couple, as I found her to be rather annoying and tiresome as a character. A kind of “bratty teenage daughter” type repeatedly whining about how “no one understands her”, a line that I tend to groan at whenever I hear it. I was especially rolling my eyes at the fit she pitches after she gets dressed up near the end of the episode. I would have honestly preferred him to get together with the governess who first got his attention, which would have been less predictable.

Other than that though, I would honestly agree with you that the twists and turns in the episode are good, and that it its an interesting murder mystery. And I do love seeing James D’Arcy. Worth noting that one of the supporting characters, the doctor, is played by the same guy who plays Alfred in “Gotham”. So, this is an episode that has Jarvis AND Alfred in it.
