Thanks for your thoughts! It’s always tricky when an adaptation doesn’t quite match what we imagined. I have fewer issues with the casting and more problems with the storytelling and unnecessary explicit content.

I am just starting to watch this show but I’m a huge fan of the books. Twists in the story are interesting but I have some difficulties with the cast. Rose is supposed to be short and young, a mix between red hair and brown almost black hair. Zoey Deutch was more the type, I think. It’s the same for the casting of Dimitri, Lissa or even Mason. They seems too old, there is no mystery at all around Dimitri, Lissa seems not that close of Rose, who seems a bit distant with her. The whole part of the book story when the girls flee is the very reason why Rose became more serious and focused. Now we are just watching a teenage not so teenage romance without profound relationships. I’m a bit disappointed…
