If you haven’t, I strongly encourage it. Get through book 3 at least, and if you’re not hooked by then it’s probably not for you. I love the world she created, and the more I read the more I felt like I was walking in that world. I remember seeing a girl’s tattoo at one point and getting so excited that I’d found a real life shadowhunter.

In addition to the original series which includes 7 books, there is the Infernal Devices trilogy and The Dark Artifices trilogy which both take place in the same shadowhunter universe and even include many of the same characters. If you’re a fan of Magnus there is even The Bane Chronicles. With even more books expected in the future, it’s a great world to get lost in for a while.
