Top 30 Cleverly Clean Romances to Sneak Under Your Covers

Valentines Day is coming up and with it all of the flowers, chocolates, and sappy cards you can imagine. We here at The Silver Petticoat Review hope you have some special loved one to spend that day with. However, if you don’t, never fear (we don’t either). We have some alternative plans that may interest you if you love reading clean romances.  And if you do have plans, well you might enjoy our suggestions for another day.

As always, I cannot say enough how much I love reading a good book. I know, I’m always going on about it. But there’s something to be said for being able to escape one’s world for a little while and inhabit someone else’s.

In keeping with the Valentine’s Day spirit, I am straying towards the romance genre for this article. If you don’t have a valentine, well why not just read yourself into having one? My suggestion for this Valentine’s Day, or for any other day for that matter, is that you try one of these guaranteed clean (we like to keep it PG-13 around here) and magical romance novels out for size.

I always enjoy reading myself into a good romantic world with dashing handsome men and strong witty heroines. It doesn’t matter what your loved one is like in the real world. In the world of books, he is always exactly perfect for you because you can imagine him that way.

Then you get to imagine yourself in the shoes of the clever and stunningly beautiful heroine. And, to top it all off, you’re guaranteed a happy ending in these clean romances! What more could you ask for?

Now, I have included in my list of top 30 clean romance novels different genres as well as the strictly romantic genre. I have based my list on whether the main focus of the story is a romance, whether that story takes place in Regency England or at a special school just for vampires.

So, you can expect a bit of YA as well as fantasy amidst my selections. I have also not put this list in any particular order, as I think all the titles are wonderful in their own unique way (aka I couldn’t possibly pick). I hope you enjoy these fabulous clean romances, whether you decide to try one out this Valentine’s Day or some other time.

About Rebecca Lane

Rebecca Lane grew up in the hot desert landscape of Tucson, Arizona where she decided early on she wanted to write, if only to mentally escape her blistering surroundings. She has always been enamored of the arts and literature. As a child she often wrote short stories, and rewrote the endings of novels that she simply could not abide. She received her Undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College in New York, where she was lucky enough to also spend a year studying at Oxford University. While she began her journey dreaming of the day she would sing opera in a large Manhattan theater, she found in the end she could not stand waitressing and simply could not give up books and her hopes of someday writing them. She is currently working as a freelance writer/editor and earning her Masters in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University.

  1. I am the author of Nightwatch ( Nellie K Neves) and it is listed with amazon. (Digital and softcover) It is romantic, suspenseful, and thrilling, but without crossing the axial boundaries. I think you’ll love it! I think there’s a desire within most good women to read a classic love story, without all the gratuitous sex scenes and bad language. I think you should be able to walk away from a book feeling uplifted, without feeling like you need a shower.
