Thank you so much for sharing your lovely story! I look forward to seeing you around. And Avonlea remains one of my absolute favorite shows. Of course, Anne of Green Gables is also a favorite.

It started with looks across a room, and dates and hand holding. A little kiss at the end of the date when he walked me to the door… even after we were married when we were out he would catch my eye and smile at me from across the room and wink at me. Now he is gone and I still have my love of romantic movies and books. Hallmark is one of my favorite channel, but I love BBC too. Little Women was my first book as a little girl, and Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea are also favorites. This is my first time on your site and you have given me many things to look for.
Still in love with love and romance, chivalry is not dead and woman can be powerful partners or do it on our on when need be. But I would rather have someone to hold my hand in a storm…

Completely agreed about the genre romance novel. It is just not my thing at all because of what you said. We really need more of what comes ‘before’ in our stories.

It’s precisely why I can’t get into a genre romance novel… it’s all about getting to the sex, and frankly, everything that comes BEFORE – the unexpected touches, the stares, the banter – that’s truly sexy.
