I enjoyed it too! And I hear what you’re saying. It didn’t bother me since I felt it fit the narrative of the story. But, I can definitely see how it might ruin the film for some if they were expecting a different ending!

But the unexpected event towards the end almost ruined it for me. Aside from that I appreciated the emphasis on feminine creativity and a look at how propaganda films were made at the time.
