That isn’t to say they don’t look convincing- they do, the majority of the time- it’s just apparent that it *isn’t* Hastings. You’ll know what I mean if you’ve been there yourself, as with any production set in a real (albeit historically-based) location. Still, a very enjoyable and unique, well-produced detective drama that hit the spot 😀

He really is quite brilliant, and his subtle dry wit is a highlight of every episode. What puts the show over the top for me in particular though are the characters of Sam and Milner, and the wonderful relationship they have with both Foyle and each other. The amazing guest stars are also an added bonus!
