This movie was a perfect version of one of my favourite books as a child. I think all the children did a great job – Kate Maberly as the selfish, bad tempered, angry Mary; Heydon Prowse as the spoiled, terrified and imperious Colin and Andrew Knott with his wholesome gentleness. It’s really a very beautiful film.
