It was much the same for us, Courtney. I think we had a similar reaction to watching this one the first time too! It’s memorable but at the same time, emotionally “terrifying.” But as you say, it’s unique which is what makes it so interesting. 🙂

I watched it with my parents, and I still remember how its unexpected ending made us say, “wait, what just happened?”. It’s unique among period dramas because of its subject and multiple-timeline presentation, and I think that’s why I liked it. Nice review, Rissi!
