Thanks for your thoughts and for the catch! The article has been revised. 🙂 And thank you for sharing your stories. It sounds like you’ve had many wonderful adventures! We love Westchester.

The review of Belgravia was quite good, although, like you, I immediately thought of Downton Abbey when the theme music began. I have just one small correction, only important because it affects Lady Maria Grey’s engagement to the dastardly John: she and her family were considered quite poor, compared to the family of her future husband. A very small detail, but I can see you are quite interested in getting all manner of details reported correctly./// I’m a “LOL” (Little Old Lady) who grew up in Westchester, and loved nothing more than taking the train into NYC for many lovely adventures, especially tea at the old Plaza Hotel’s Palm Court, getting lost in the Scribner’s Bookstore on Fifth, and especially spending time at the Metropolitan Museum. We have been in Williamsburg, VA, for a quarter of a century now…..I will let my friends know about your enchanting website. Thank you…!

Yes, I think many of us have seen North and South too many times to count that we can’t help but notice the costumes in other period dramas! And thank you!

And I recognized Anne Trenchard’s dress immediately. How could I not, as often as I’ve seen North and South.
